Travelodge Page

Renovated in 2011, the Travelodge Page offers its guests a clean, affordable place to stay within close proximity to the Grand Canyon and other national monuments. While the outside is not very aesthetically pleasing (facing a busy street with rod-iron fencing), its affordability and brand-name recognition have people booking rooms here time and time again.

One of the property’s biggest selling points is its outdoor breakfast nook, overlooking the scenic Lake Powell. A complimentary “Bear Bites” breakfast is available to all guests and they can welcome the day in a relaxing environment outside, facing a fantastic landscape. This “Bear Bites” breakfast is continental-style and usually includes cereal, pastries, muffins, toast, bagels coffee and juice.

While there is not a restaurant on-site, a few chain restaurants and local steakhouses are available nearby. Several guests who have recently stayed at the Travelodge Page recommended nearby Strombolli’s for pizza and calzones in a family-friendly environment.

A heated, outdoor pool can be appealing for those traveling with children and their pet-friendly policies make it an ideal place to stay for those traveling with pets and on a budget.

Rooms with one or two queen size beds or a king sized bed are available. Most rooms come with free WiFi, an iron and ironing board

The Down Low/411

The rooms are very simple but, on the whole, seem clean and entirely acceptable for the price. Despite some negative reviews as of late, it seems as though management is trying to make their property more welcoming and up to date. What it may lack in niceties, it seems to make up for in price, particularly during the off-peak season.

Who is it good for?

Anyone traveling on a budget will benefit from staying here, as the Travelodge seems to be competitively priced with the lower-end properties in town. Be sure to book early. Though this is hardly the fanciest property in town, it is among those considered a “gateway to the Canyons” and fill up fast, particularly during the warm months.
