The white water sister company of mellower and shorter Grand Canyon River Adventures, those who are looking for the Colorado River, camping, hiking excursion version have found it here. Tours range in length from days to weeks and you must be in some kind of shape to participate as hiking, rowing and camping are all part of the experience. That said, older actives and children are not excluded; just know what you’re getting into before you book grandpa to hike Bright Angel Trail.

Excellent reviews bode well for those who book with AZRA. Tourists talk of hard-working, knowledgeable staff who create the trip of a lifetime for their patrons. Know what you’re booking. These tours can be too strenuous for some so if you’re unclear after reading the website information, call and talk to a live person so as not to be disappointed or have to back out on tour day.
